Congratulations to Sheryl Saavedra on Her Appointment to the Early Head Start Program Governance Committee
Peak Legal Group’s Managing Partner, Sheryl Saavedra, JD, has recently been appointed to the City of Albuquerque’s Early Head Start Program Governance Advisory Committee. Her appointment was confirmed on August 18, 2025, and she will serve until July 1, 2027.
In this role, Ms. Saavedra will help guide policies and decisions that impact families and children throughout the Albuquerque community. As a part of the Governance Committee, she will contribute recommendations on city programs, services, and investments while upholding the highest ethical standards as a city official.
With over 30 years of legal expertise, Ms. Saavedra has dedicated her career to family law, serving as Managing Partner at Peak Legal Group and as Guardian ad Litem in contested custody and kinship guardianship cases. She is also deeply committed to community service, volunteering her time with numerous legal aid programs and serving on multiple professional boards and committees throughout New Mexico.
