Sheryl L. Saavedra is excited to take on the role of President for the UNM School of Law Alumni Board. Sheryl has served on the Alumni Board since 2015 as Secretary, Treasurer and other key positions. With more than 27 years of experience in Family Law, she offers dedication and leadership to this important organization.
In her role as President, Sheryl will continue to work with the Board in its mission to support the UNM School of Law and its goals to facilitate research, training, and public service functions for students, alumni, and the legal community in New Mexico. As Sheryl says, “Serving as the President of the UNM School of Law’s Alumni/ae Association is important to me because I recognize the value in preserving and honoring the historical roots of our legal community and law school, all while still fulfilling our obligation to embrace technology and the societal changes in our profession.”
The UNM School of Law Alumni Association connects students with alumni and members of the community to foster career opportunities, development, and mentoring connections. With Sheryl at the helm, the Board will continue to recognize the alumni community’s personal and professional contributions while it supports a spirit of innovation, progress, and growth.
