Congratulations! It is my pleasure to inform you that your appointment to the Early Head Start Program Governance Advisory Committee was confirmed by the City Council on August 18, 2025. Your term begins August 18, 2025 and expires on July 1, 2027.
Board and commission members provide a valuable service to our community, representing the views and interests of fellow citizens, and making recommendations to me and the City Council on City policies, programs, services, investments, and acquisitions. As City officials, Board and Commissions members are entrusted to be responsible and ethical stewards of public resources and, like City employees and elected officials, have a duty to follow established policies and procedures.
The City’s public boards, commission, and committees are governed by Chapter 2, Article 6 of the Revised Ordinances of Albuquerque, 1994. The ordinance establishing this board delineates its powers and duties. The City Charter’s Code of Ethics governs the conduct of all city officials, including members of boards, commissions, and committees. Your appointment is subject to all provisions outlined in these documents, and your written acceptance of this appointment is required before you can begin your board service.
